In The Hague, Brink contract managers are supporting the Central Government Real Estate Agency (RVB) with a new-build project for Eurojust. This project is being executed on the basis of a Uniform Administrative Conditions (UAV) contract in which quality control is organised using the system-oriented contract management (SCM) method. And that’s a first. This method involves auditing the contractor’s quality process, which means there is no site management or on-site supervision in the traditional sense. The role of the site management is to verify rather than to give instructions and perform checks. Audits of the contractor’s quality management are conducted by a group of Brink contract managers who have been specially trained for SCM.
